Public transport (train + bus) allows you to reach the camp centre without renting a car.
Holidays ideas
A good start to extend your holiday in Italy: Pisa (1h), Siena (1,5h), Florence (2h) or even Rome (3h) are easily reachable by car.
Camp Center and accommodation
Park Albatros
The swimming pools are free for guests.
You’ll find a wide range of services, from bars to restaurants and pizzerias, local shops, bike hire, sports and children’s facilities, etc.
The houses are like mobile homes, basically equipped for cooking (there is only the minimum!).
There’s a supermarket where you can buy food and cook yourself, or just pick up some delicacies ( from the market as well).
We have asked and are discussing special rates for continental breakfasts, packed lunches and full Italian dinners.
Accommodation tips
We highly recommend to stay in this very beautiful camping!
Here, you can also have a deal on your booking: the deadline has been extended to 15.04.
The rate of 100€ per night is valid from the 8th to the 11th of June (check the 12th): if you arrive before this date, you will unfortunately have to pay a slightly higher rate per night. I’m sorry for the inconvenience, but this is the maximum we could get.

Nearby activities
Baratti and Populonia Archeological Park
The park includes several areas of the ancient Etruscan city of Populonia, the necropolis of San Cerbone, Casone and the Grotto and the Cave of Calcarenite.
The Acropolis, located at the castle in upper Populonia, contains remains from the most ancient Etruscans to the Romans.
Immerse yourself in the pre-Roman history of Italy!
(Public transport + long walk)
The coast from Baratti to Piombino
From the beautiful sandy beach of the Gulf of Baratti to the hidden, rocky and hard-to-reach coves and creeks of the Piombino promontory: don’t miss the chance to swim in the Tyrrhenian Sea, just off the island of Elba, where Napoleon was exiled.
(public transport to Baratti beach + possible long walks on very difficult paths)
